The Planets

What if we can no longer inhabit this earth and migrate to another planet? How do we take our first steps in this new world, and can we do it together? Centered around these questions, Mayke van Veldhuizen has created a futuristic choreography: The Planets. Two dancers embark on an unknown planet with the crucial question: can we (co)exist here?

Choreography by Mayke Van del Huizen
Performed by Mayke Van del Huizen and Sofia Garcia Miramon

Movements of Bach

Movements of Bach: Dance Dialogue  is a vibrant performance inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach’s

Cello Suite No. 1. In this unique interpretation, the suite’s six movements are brought to life by dancers, each embodying a distinct character shaped by the emotional and rhythmic nuances of Bach’s music. The project weaves together improvisation, dance and theatre into a raw, ever-evolving performance. The performers explore the interplay of movement and sound, with each repetition building on the previous to form the final piece. Steeped in spontaneity and passion, this performance is not intended as a finished product, but as a work-in-progress that captures the energy and life of creation in real time. An immersive experience that blurs the boundaries of music and dance.

Directed by Fernando Oliveira.
Performed by Pedro Machado, Rebecca Lilich, Lela Di Costanzo, Sofia Garcia Miramon, Fernando Oliveira.
Cello Player: Giorgios Kotsiolis.
