Artown NOW is an Urban Art Annual event conceived as a public mechanism for civic imagination, transforming spectators into co-authors, turning neutral spaces into places of meaning, and bringing co-presence as a practice of existence into the city, from the self to the collective.

“La Pacha” is a piece that witnesses the journey of four women in the recovery of their wild being. The narratives of these women merge, each representing their own nationality and bringing their own distinct history and experience with feminism. Their stories intertwine, revealing the intersections of culture, tradition, and the universal struggle for gender equality. Through movement, spoken word, and symbolic imagery, the piece delves into the complexities of feminism as viewed through different cultural lenses.

BAUBO is a duo composed and performed by Gabelle Gomez Iza and Sofia Garcia Miramon.

Baubo is a dance performance that explores the idea of a climax experience, using the body’s energy, the way it can be enacted and transformed.
Alternating between movements of tension and release, this immersive experience invites the spectator to witness the ritual of the eros, as a means to explore intimacy and vulnerability.
During this act, Gabelle and Sofia establish a unique body language comprising the senses of breathing and movement in order to transmute the sexual energy into the ultimate expression of creativity.
The title of the performance stems from Baubo (Ancient Greek: Βαυβώ) who is a woman in Greek mythology known as the goddess of mirth. She is depicted as obscene and sexually liberated, her power and energy have survived in the spirits of women down through the centuries.

Discidium is a duo composed and performed by Gabriela Infante and Sofia Garcia Miramon.
The piece has a unique urban contemporary language that enables the performers to dance following selected texts that delve into feminism, roles and modern society.
